The Cedarburg School District has implemented a SpeakUp Safety Tipline in an effort to keep students and schools safe by providing a simple way for students to report threats of violence, weapons brought to school, peers in crisis and other urgent situations.
The Gaggle SpeakUp Safety Tipline integrates directly with G Suite for Education from Google, which students already use on a daily basis. There’s no need for students to download a mobile app or remember a phone number. Students in grades 3-12 can email a tip or concern to the speakup email address. SpeakUp replies include a phone number that students can use for text messages or phone calls if they prefer to be anonymous.
Trained Gaggle Safety Representatives evaluate SpeakUp tips 24/7/365 and send an email regarding non-life-threatening items to designated school or district staff. They will also call school officials in emergency situations and will contact local law enforcement when appropriate.
You can email, text, or call to report concerns you have about the safety of others, or your own safety. Your report can be anonymous, meaning you don’t have to tell your name. All investigations will be confidential.
Or if you would like to talk to someone about your concern and don't feel comfortable writing about it, just provide your contact information and someone from the district will contact you.
Whether you are a witness or target, you are helping us maintain a positive and safe school environment for all of our students. Thank you.
If you or someone you know is in IMMEDIATE danger, call 911 first!
If a situation arises and it's not an immediate threat, or is during non-school hours, there may be a delayed response time. For immediate safety concerns, always call 911
