Description: The purpose of German Club is to invite students to explore and enjoy German, Austrian, and Swiss cultures in an educational context and to encourage the students to get to know each other. We eat at a German restaurant, participate in UW–Madison’s German Day in April (contests include poetry, spelling, music, skits, and videos), sing German Christmas carols at local nursing/retirement homes and in downtown Cedarburg, and go to museums and exhibitions with German relevance.
Membership: Current enrollment in a German course is required. Seniors who have been active in German Club for four years may apply for the $200 German Club Scholarship.
