Description:The National Honor Society is an organization designed to “create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students” of the school. This is accomplished through its members serving as examples to their peers and through service projects both within the school and the community at large.

Membership: Membership is extended to Junior and Seniors who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Service, Leadership, Character, and Scholarship.  A Faculty Council, which acts on behalf of the entire school staff, makes all membership decisions.

Membership Requirements: Members must complete 10 hours of community service each semester.  At least one hour must benefit the school and at least one hour must benefit the community.  The other 8 hours may benefit either.  Members are also required to participate in club service projects.  Most members serve by participating in the school's tutoring program.  In addition to service, members must attend all meetings and maintain the standards by which they were inducted.  For additional membership information, please see the selection page.
