Description:The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica–Capítulo Francisco Goya, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, honors students of Spanish 3, 4, and 5 who have excelled in their Spanish studies.
Membership: CHS students who have maintained a grade point average of 10.000 in the study of Spanish 2, 3, 4 and AP are eligible for membership in the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica. No student is initiated before his/her sixth semester of Spanish. The student must be enrolled in the study of Spanish at the time of the initiation, and must be present at the
initiation ceremony for acceptance into the Honor Society. Spanish 4 and AP students who became members previously must maintain the honor average of 10.000 in Spanish in order for their membership to be renewed. Fourth year and AP students who did not become members previously and who have achieved the 10.000 honor average are invited to join.
