The deadline for yearbook submissions for senior portraits and baby pictures is Saturday, Nov 14, 2015. The specifications are: Color Digital file, saved as RGB and JPEG format 300 dpi or 640 x 800 pixels at the recommended wallet size (approx. 2 ½ x 3 ½). We will accept digital photos only.
Meeting Times/Dates:This varies with staff assignments. Some positions require a great deal of work throughout the year while others require a great deal of work during a shorter period of time.A student’s time commitment can be any number of hours. Some students make minor contributions of a few hours per year and members who wish to become editors work several hundred hours.
Description:The yearbook staff is responsible for the production of the yearbook, Cedariel, which records Cedarburg High School activities throughout the year. The various editors plan and organize the photos and copy for each section of the book. Photographers, copy writers, layout designers and artists, and computer operators are needed to handle all aspects of the yearbook production.
Membership:Any student may be a member of the staff. Editorial positions are assigned by the advisor who bases the decision on previous experience, proficiency with Adobe PageMaker and Photoshop, and the student’s ability to handle responsibilities.
Senior Information for Cedariel
Senior portraits must be turned in to the yearbook staff by Saturday, November 14th in order to be included in this year’s Cedariel Yearbook. We will accept wallet size digital photos ONLY. Please send as a .jpg 300 dpi in vertical format to firstname.lastname@example.org A CD or flash drive clearly labeled is acceptable.
It is a tradition (but not a requirement) that every senior supplies a senior quote that appears below his or her portrait. Senior quotes should be no more than 20 words and cannot contain symbols, initials, or abbreviations. The senior quote must include the name of the person who said it, for example, “A penny saved is a penny earned.” Benjamin Franklin. Please encourage your senior to use a quote that is appropriate and reflects good decorum. The yearbook staff will only accept quotes that are submitted electronically at: email@example.com Be sure to include the student’s name. Senior quotes are also due by Saturday, November 14th.
Also, as with tradition but not mandatory, there is a section of the yearbook dedicated for senior baby pictures with a tribute. They too will only be accepted digitally and are due Saturday, November 14th. Along with a message of 30 words or less, please put the senior’s name in the subject line (example….Sue Jones Baby Pic.) The cost is $25.00. Please mail a check made payable to CHS Cedarial, with the senior’s name in the memo line. The baby pictures will be in color. Several local businesses scan photos for little charge, i.e. Walgreens, Costco, etc. The photos can be emailed as a .jpg to firstname.lastname@example.org Please call Ms. Clapper at 262-376-6290 with any questions.
If you have other fun photos of school activities, please send them in electronically to the email address above, labeled with student’s name so that we have a nice variety of students featured in the yearbook.
