Meeting Location: room 12
Meeting Times/Dates: Meetings every Thursday morning at 7:15 am, approximately one hour long meeting per month., and committee meetings as needed. Also, day long conferences are held once per quarter. In addition, much time is required for planning and running the following events: welcome week in the first week of school, homecoming week, winter holidays, Snowcoming week (February), dances, charitable drive, and any other event Student Council decides to sponsor. Attendance is required at all events all year long.
Description: School government representatives and class officers have the responsibility of organizing a variety of activities such as homecoming, blood drives, dances, and various class programs. In addition, representatives and officers have the responsibility of working with the faculty and administration to help improve the school environment. Any student seeking to be elected to one of these positions should be a leader, not a follower. Officers and representatives must be willing to accept the difficult challenge of acting as a link between the student body and the administration and serving as the primary source of leadership for all class activities. These positions should only be sought by those students who are willing to commit the necessary time and energy to help make CHS the best possible school.
Membership: Elections are held in spring for sophomores, juniors, and seniors; freshman elections are held in the fall. Six representatives are selected from each class, plus the four class officers.
