Any student who intends to participate in NCAA Division I or II athletics as college freshman must register and be certified by the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse. Students are strongly encouraged to register with NCAA on the Internet (the link is below). However, if necessary, NCAA registration materials are available from the secretary in the Cedarburg High School Guidance Office.
The NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse charges a registration fee. (The fee can be waived if the student qualified for and received a waiver of the ACT or SAT fee.) Students should register with the Clearinghouse after completing their junior year. The NCAA requires the student to submit his/her grades after the junior year, so registering before then offers no advantage.
