
Maddie Sueppel Falk
Maddie Sueppel Falk attended Cedarburg High School from 2002-2006 and is one of the top volleyball players to ever graduate from CHS. Maddie was an exceptional player who received many awards and was well known throughout the North Shore Conference. As a CHS freshman, she broke the school record for kills in a single season as well as being selected 1st Team All-Conference. In 2003 during her sophomore season, Maddie led the Bulldogs to their 1st WIAA Conference Championship in 21 years. She also received her second 1st Team All-Conference award in addition to being named All-State Honorable Mention.
Maddie continued performing at her highest level individually and as a team leader during her junior season. Maddie led the Bulldogs to a second North Shore Conference Championship in 2004. She did not stop there. She was honored with 1st Team All-Conference for a third straight season and was selected to 2nd Team All-State. As a 4-year varsity volleyball athlete, Maddie set the school record for spike kills by finishing her career with 1,090 kills. Unfortunately, Maddie’s high school career had to end shortly into her senior season, due to a knee injury.
Maddie attended UW-Milwaukee on a full-ride scholarship after graduating from CHS. Here she was able to continue her academics and resume her impressive volleyball career. She helped the UWM Panthers appear in 3 NCAA tournaments while receiving many individual accolades. These awards included All-Newcomer Team, 1st Team All-Horizon League, and Horizon League Tournament MVP. To finish off her volleyball career, Maddie broke the UWM and Horizon League records by smothering 19 blocks in a single match against rival Marquette. As of 2019 Maddie still holds this record.
