It is with tremendous excitement and with great privilege that I serve as principal for the students, staff, and community of Cedarburg. Every year, Cedarburg High School ranks as a top school not only in the state of Wisconsin, but also nationally. This consistent success is a reflection of the tremendous student body, hard working and talented staff, and supportive community. As a result of our comprehensive approach to education and the efforts of this community, Cedarburg High School consistently achieves numerous awards and accomplishments:
- Average over 25 on the ACT as a school. One of the highest averages in the state
- Ranked 372nd Best School in the Nation by US News and World Report. 4th in Wisconsin
- Nationally recognized Performing Arts
- Offer 24 different AP courses
- National Blue Ribbon School
- Annual National Merit Finalists
- Over 90% of graduates attend college after graduation
- Perennial State athletic teams and athletes
The foundation for our school is to provide a safe and challenging environment that provides opportunities and pathways for each student to pursue and achieve their goals. Every day, we strive to improve what we offer in order to best serve our students.
Personally, I originally hail from Michigan (Go Blue!). I began my career in education as a high school English and Literature teacher. Six years ago, I left the classroom and moved to Wisconsin after accepting an administrative position at the West Bend School District. After three years in the West Bend system, I spent two years as the principal at Luxemburg-Casco High School before landing in this great community and destination position. My wife Megan and I, along with our newborn Bulldog, Owen, and our actual dog, Buddy the Elf, are settling into our new home in Cedarburg and look forward to being a part of all this community has to offer.
It is an honor to work and lead at such a great school. Cedarburg High School has established an outstanding foundation in education that I hope to build upon. My goal is to create as many opportunities as possible for our students to succeed artistically, athletically, and most importantly, academically.
I look forward to working with our students over the coming years and seeing all that we can accomplish at CHS.
Go Bulldogs!
