Description:
The International Club of Cedarburg High School incorporates AFS, Rotary. ISE, YFU, and other students of international origin, providing an opportunity for students not only to share their own culture, but also to broaden their knowledge and understanding of people and cultures from other parts of the world. This student led club joins together American students with an interest in world culture and visiting students seeking an American experience.
American Field Service (AFS), is an international intercultural scholarship organization formed to promote better understanding among people through student exchanges. AFS operates three major student scholarship programs. One brings foreign students to the U.S. from any one of approximately 60 nations to live with American families and attend their junior or senior year at American high schools. Another program, called Americans Abroad, sends American students abroad for study and living experiences for one full year or for the summer. The third program allows American students to live in a different part of the world for a semester, or six months
Membership: All students with an interest in people and other cultures are welcome! There are occasional opportunities for fundraising and community service.
