The course selection window for Cedarburg High School will be between March 1st, 2021-March 22nd, 2021.
Current 8th graders will be receiving their registration materials and have access to online scheduling beginning March 1st along with the rollout of a virtual Freshman Preview Presentation where course offerings will be discussed. High School Counselors will be working with Webster Middle School to meet with students to review the course selection process. Core required classes will be added by the high school based on test scores, grades, and current middle school performance. Current private and out-of-district students should complete the 9th Grade Enrollment for Private or Out-of-District Students process at least one week prior to the course request deadline, so they can be enrolled and have ample time to select their courses using Skyward Family Access by March 22nd. New families can start the process here.
Current 9th through 11th graders will be receiving their registration materials and have access to online scheduling March 1st during Virtual Hour. In lieu of a traditional Electives Fair offered in-person, to accomodate all students in all learning environments students will engage in a virtual electives fair experience that will be uploaded in CANVAS that students can access beginning on March 2nd. This will allow for all students to receive an overview of elective options via video format.
Key scheduling materials can also be found on this webpage below.
Please...
1. Check with your core academic teachers to get their recommendations.
2. Check for prerequisites; you may not sign up for any courses unless the prerequisites are met.
3. Refer to the most updated online CHS Career Planning & Course Guide for course descriptions, pre-requisites, and graduation requirements. New this year: there are hyperlinks in the course guide that include a video description for each department.
4. If a course shows the --> symbol, be sure to get consent from a teacher before you request it if the course requires permission.
5. Make sure you sign up for at least seven credits. This will allow you to have one study hall per semester. The maximum number of credits a student can sign up for is eight.
6. All students must select at least 2.0 credits worth of alternate courses in the event their first selections are not available.
5. Submit your course requests by March 22nd.
All student must go on-line to Skyward Family Access and follow the directions for registration using the Skyward Parent-Student Access On-Line Scheduling Procedures. (This process automatically registers you for your requests.)
Note: If you fail to register by March 22nd, you may not get the courses you wish to take and your counselor will create a schedule for you using his/her discretion. Online scheduling will also be disabled so all course selections will need to go through the high school counselors. There may not be an opportunity to change courses later due to course availability and class capacity!
If you have any questions, please contact your counselor.
