CHS Recognized as a Level 1 AP Pacesetter School

The Wisconsin Advanced Placement Advisory Council recognized Cedarburg High School for promoting broad student AP exam participation with strong achievement results in 2013.

CHS was recognized as a Level 1 AP Pacesetter school, one of only seven in the state, with over 30% of all high school students taking an AP exam and over 70% of all exam participants earning a score of 3 or above (out of 5). A score of 3 or better is often accepted by higher education institutions for college credit or advanced standing.

In 2013, 37% of CHS students took at least one exam for a total of 691 exams taken, both being school records.  The Wisconsin Advanced Placement Advisory Council is comprised of Wisconsin secondary and collegiate educators who are dedicated to expanding access to AP coursework and rigorous learning for all college bound students.  The data for the WAPAC award is readily available on the DPI website. 

CHS Memorial Kicknic

Join the CHS Student Council for the 2014 Memorial Kicknic, May 16th at 5:00 p.m., to support the American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund. The kickball tournament is open to teams of all ages. Find more information, registration information and forms here.

CHS Nominated as a Blue Ribbon School

We are pleased to announce that Cedarburg High School is one of only eight schools in the state to be nominated by State Superintendent Tony Evers for the National Blue Ribbon Program which recognizes overall academic excellence or progress in improving student achievement. Cedarburg High School Recognized Nationally for Commitment to Music Education

For the second year in a row, Cedarburg High School received the SupportMusic Merit Award as part of the Best Communities for Music Education program from NAMM and the NAMM Foundation. The Best Communities program acknowledges schools and districts across the United States for their commitment to and support of music education in schools. The high school was one of ninety-six schools across the nation to receive the award and one of two schools recognized in our state.

Wisconsin DPI Releases State Report Cards: CHS is #1 in the STATE!

Cedarburg High School has an Overall Accountability Score  of 92.6, "Significantly Exceeds Expectations," on the recently released Wisconsin DPI School Report Cards. This superior rating puts CHS at  #1 in the State of Wisconsin in comparison to other public schools. Red Quill Award

Cedarburg High School has been awarded the prestigious RED QUILL AWARD.  This national award honors student academic excellence as well as the high level of dedication and focus of teachers who provide all students with many exceptional opportunities to succeed.

AP Honor Award

The College Board has recognized CHS with placement on the 3rd Annual AP District Honor Roll for simultaneously increasing access to Advanced Placement course work while increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP Exams.  Cedarburg is one of only 539 school districts in the US and Canada to be honored with this award.  Click here for the complete list of schools being recognized.

Cedarburg High School Named to Top High School List 

Newsweek announced America's Best High Schools of 2013. Cedarburg High School was named 2nd best in Wisconsin and 379th in the nation. Congratulations Bulldogs!!!
