CHS is excited to announce that twenty-eight students have been selected to receive the 2025 NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC). Over the past few years, our Computer Science program has continued to grow, and since 2018, one hundred and fifteen Cedarburg students have been awarded some level of the Aspirations award from AiC, several of them more than once. With 28 recipients this year, it is the most in Wisconsin for the sixth year in a row! CHS Math & Computer Science teacher Ms. Stacy Lesmeister said, “I am incredibly proud of these extraordinary students! Their dedication, creativity, and leadership set a powerful example for their peers and the community as a whole. I am confident that they will have a positive impact on our world around them through their innovative ideas and problem-solving skills.” The award, sponsored by the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT), the Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC), honors women in grades 9 through 12 who are active and interested in computing and technology and encourages them to pursue their passions. Award for AiC recipients are chosen for their demonstrated interest and achievements in computing, proven leadership ability, academic performance, and plans for post‑secondary education. Since 2007, more than 25,000 students have been honored with the Award for AiC. The multi-tiered award structure includes Winner, Honorable Mention, and Rising Star designations at National and Regional Affiliate levels, serving all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, all U.S. overseas military bases, and Canada. This success is the outcome of a collective effort," said Superintendent Dr. Jeridon Clark. The following are just a few of the culminating successes that are evidence of the excellent collaboration between staff, parents, and students: The DPI creates a Report Card for every publicly funded school and district in the state. These report cards can be accessed online at http://dpi.wi.gov/accountability/report-cards. Our District and School Report Cards can be found on our website here. The Report Cards are compiled using state assessment data and are intended to help all schools and districts target improvement efforts to ensure students are ready for the next educational step, whether that be the next grade level, graduation, college, or career. We are pleased to offer robust educational programs within our district. Additional educational options available to all children residing within the Cedarburg School District boundaries can also be found on our website.

At the start of the school year, Parkview students participate in the annual “Bullpup Bonanza,” an essential component of our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) system. During this engaging event, students explore various areas of the school, learn about Parkview’s expectations, and discuss how to embody respect, responsibility, and safety in every environment. Throughout the year, every child consistently demonstrates these core values. The week culminated in our first all-school Paw Party assembly, celebrating the conclusion of the Bullpup Bonanza and kicking off an exciting tradition. Every Friday morning, Parkview’s weekly Paw Parties encourage both staff and students to wear Parkview apparel, fostering a strong sense of community. We are thrilled to build character and unity within our school!

The College Board announced that CHS has been named to the Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll for the 2023-24 school year, earning GOLD distinction. The AP® School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access.
