Cedarburg School District is committed to providing all students with a comprehensive educational experience that is engaging, relevant and built upon Cedarburg School District Standards.
Three driving questions facilitate the organization of the District’s curriculum, instruction and assessment practices:
- What do we want students to know and be able to do?
- How will we know they know or have learned what was instructed upon?
- What will we do if students already know or haven’t yet learned the content?
Additionally, a seven-year curriculum cycle is used to provide oversight for each of the fifteen District departments, with each department placed on an improvement cycle that incorporates and reflects upon:
- District achievement data/trends,
- Cedarburg School District’s Academic Standards,
- Instructional practices,
- Workforce readiness/post-secondary needs/global shifts,
- District beliefs and commitments about learning and
- Primary resource needs.
