Notice of Incumbent Noncandidacy for the 2025 School Board Election
The following incumbent Cedarburg School Board Member(s) whose term of office expires in April 2025 and whose seat will be contested at the 2025 Spring Election has filed a Notification of Noncandidacy, as provided under section 120.06(6)(b)3 of the state statues:
By filing the Notification of Noncandidacy, the incumbent(s) listed above has given notice that he/she does not intend to be a candidate for reelection to his/her school board office.
A qualified elector of the School District who wishes to become a candidate and have his/her name appear on the election ballot for any of the school board seats that will be contested at the 2025 Spring Election must file all necessary forms at the Cedarburg School District Office - W68N611 Evergreen Blvd., Cedarburg WI 53012 by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Election Details
An election is to be held in the School District of Cedarburg, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed.
Office Incumbent
School Board Member David O. Krier
School Board Member Laura Stroebel
School Board Member Elizabeth Charland
Office Terms
The term of office for school board members is three years, beginning on Monday, April 28, 2025. A description of the school district boundaries can be obtained from the school district office.
For Candidates
A Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the office of the school district clerk. Nomination papers are required. The first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1, 2024, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the office of the school district clerk.
Primary Election
If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Additional Information
Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID, you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
