Integrating the use of technology in a strategic and purposeful manner enables students to take an active role in their learning and prepares them for success in a global society.
Students in the Cedarburg School District have access to technology resources based on the educational need and developmental/age appropriateness.
Devices
All students in grades 5K - 12 have access to Chromebooks:
- Students in Grades 3-12 each have a Chromebook individually assigned which they bring to and from school each day; and
- Students in grades 5k-2 utilize Chromebooks in a shared-device environment - each classroom has a cart of Chromebooks that can be used during the schoolday under the direction of the teacher.

The Cedarburg School District is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all students balancing Student Security, Privacy and Opportunity when utilizing digital tools and resources.
In accordance with board to policy 7540.02 Web Content, Apps, and Services, all "apps, and services must comply with applicable State and Federal laws (e.g., copyright laws, Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)), and reflect the professional image/brand of the District, its employees, and students. Content, apps, and services must be consistent with the District's mission statement, and staff-created web content, apps, and services are subject to prior review and approval of the Superintendent before being published on the Internet and/or used with students. ...In addition, the educational technology company that owns the app and/or service must agree to and sign the Data Privacy Agreement (DPA) that is in current use by the District."
