School Counseling Overview
The Cedarburg High School Counseling Department provides a comprehensive and developmental counseling program to meet the academic, personal/social, and college/career needs of students. The counselors are student advocates who support students throughout their high school careers. They help students maximize their academic and personal achievement while acknowledging every student’s individual and cultural uniqueness. The Counseling professionals, in partnership with other educators, parents/guardians and the community, strive to ensure that each student in Cedarburg High School develops the knowledge, skills, and understanding necessary for post-secondary success.
Our middle school counseling department helps students navigate the various personal/social issues that are unique to pre-adolescent and adolescent development. The services the counseling department provides focus on academic growth, personal/social issues, and career development. Our Middle School counselors support students through the development of Academic and Career Planning (ACP) and individual or small-group counseling. Counselors work in collaboration with parents and teachers to effectively address student needs.
