Thorson's Patty Kestell Named Elementary School Physical Education Teacher of the Year
The Cedarburg School District is proud to congratulate Patty Kestell on her selection as the National Physical Education Teacher of the Year at the elementary level. The award is given by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education in recognition of outstanding teaching performance and the ability to motivate today's youth to participate in a lifetime of physical activity. Congratulations, Patty!
Cedarburg High School Named to Top High School List

Newsweek announced America's Best High Schools of 2013. Cedarburg High School was named 2nd best in Wisconsin and 379th in the nation. Congratulations Bulldogs!!!
Washington Post Names Cedarburg High School to America's Most Challenging High Schools List
Cedarburg High School has been named to The Washington Post's list of the most challenging schools in the country. There are more than 1,900 schools on the America's Most Challenging High Schools list. Westlawn Elementary School Earns National Recognition as a Green Ribbon School!

Westlawn was one of four schools in Wisconsin and sixty-four schools in the nation to be recognized as a Green Ribbon School. The award honors Westlawn for their exemplary efforts to reduce environmental impact and utility costs, promote better health and ensure effective environmental education. No classes held the week of July 1st.
Brochures were sent home with the Cedarburg School District Students March 27th, with SEA registration taking place April 8th through May 17th, 2013, STEP registration for K-8 accepted now through May 17 and STEP registration for high school accepted now through May 31. The SEA (enrichment) and STEP (remedial) programs are open to Cedarburg residents and District open enrollment students only. Visit the Summer Academy website for more information.
CHS Earns Red Quill Award
Cedarburg High School has been awarded the prestigious RED QUILL LEGACY AWARD from ACT. This national award honors student academic excellence as well as the high level of dedication and focus of teachers who provide all students with many exceptional opportunities to succeed. Cedarburg High School is one of only 4 schools in the state and the only North Shore school to be selected for this honor.
