School Psychologists
The role of the school psychologist is to enhance student learning and overall well-being. In partnership with other school staff, school psychologists assist in the effective and efficient school-wide implementation of a Response to Intervention (RtI) framework for both academic and social/behavior functioning. As part of this framework, school psychologists serve as coaches in the implementation of school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). School psychologists have an integral role in analyzing student data and collaborating with grade-level teams to support the implementation of interventions. In addition to school-wide efforts, school psychologists may provide counseling as it relates to social-emotional development and support families by providing community resources.
