Nick Boehnlein
Nick Boehnlein was one of Cedarburg High School’s most accomplished multi-sport athletes, earning 10 Varsity letters across football, hockey, and baseball. Highly competitive, versatile, and team-driven, Boehnlein played a significant role in elevating each program he represented, leading to team success and numerous awards.
On the football field, Boehnlein showcased exceptional versatility, contributing as a kicker, defensive back, and running back. His leadership and steady presence were recognized when he was selected as a team captain in 2010. That season, he helped guide Cedarburg to the WIAA Division 2 State Championship game, finishing as state runners-up. Throughout his career, the Bulldogs won at least one playoff game in each season he played. Boehnlein earned Second Team All-Conference honors as a kicker and Honorable Mention recognition as a defensive back during his junior year. His senior season marked a true breakout, as he earned First Team All-Conference honors at both kicker and defensive back. He was also named First Team All-Area and First Team All-State on defense, cementing his place as one of the region’s premier two-way players.
In hockey, Boehnlein was a key figure during the most successful stretch in CHS Boys’ Hockey history. A four-year Varsity athlete, he helped lead Cedarburg to four consecutive North Shore Conference Championships and an appearance in the WIAA State Tournament during the 2010–2011 season. Known for his competitive drive and consistent production, Boehnlein earned First Team All-Conference honors in his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons and served as a captain his final year.
On the baseball diamond, Boehnlein was an impact outfielder and one of the program’s most dangerous offensive players. He earned multiple All-Conference and All-Area honors, culminating in a standout senior season that included First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Area, and Second Team All-State recognition. Boehnlein set several program records, including most home runs in a season (9), career home runs (15), and total bases in a season (84).
