
Josee Stiever
Josee Stiever was unequivocally one of the best athletes to play at Cedarburg High School. She specifically excelled in soccer. Attending CHS from 2009-2013, she started all soccer games in her high school career and was also the starting Varsity Basketball point guard her freshman and sophomore years.
With her incredible talents, Josee earned the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year in back to back years, 2011-12, and her senior year, 2012-13. She was named to the NSCAA Girls High School AllAmerica Team in 2012 and 2013, Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Year in 2012, and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Area Player of the Year in 2013.
She was team MVP during the 2010 and 2011 seasons. During this time, she led the team in goals and assists. Josee received First Team All-State accolades in 2011, 2012, and 2013, helping to lead her team to a WIAA State Championship in 2013. Josee’s positive attitude, work ethic, and competitive spirit had a profound impact on the CHS Soccer Program. In her spare time, Josee participated in Student Council, French Club, National Honor Society and was a scholar athlete. She volunteered in her local church by helping serve meals to the homeless and with Portal Prom.
After high school, Josee went on to play college soccer at the University of Minnesota. During her time there, she played in 86 games, garnering 21 goals and 20 assists. Josee was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team as well as the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team (2015) and First Team (2016). She was twice named the team’s Most Valuable Offensive Player and, to end her college career in 2016, received All-Big Ten First Team and Academic All-District honors. She continued her soccer career by playing with the United States U-23 Women’s National Team in 2016.
