Bulldog Summer Tennis Camp 2025
The Bulldog summer Tennis camp is for all level of tennis players in the area to continue to work on their tennis game with daily structured lesson plans all while competing in a fun, positive environment. Players build their knowledge of the game, consistency, and confidence.

Strength and Conditioning
Strength training is a life skill that only has positive benefits, including injury prevention, increased strength, greater mobility/flexibility and improved mental health.
Players in the Tennis Program are required to participate in TEAMBUILDR when school starts. More information to come.
Things to Have Done Prior to the Start of the Tennis Season
- Athletic fee, physical/waivers cleared by the Athletic office
- READ and bring the player/parent contract signed the first day
- Have 27 inch racquet, sunscreen, water bottle, tennis court shoes,
Questions....please ask!
Will be assessing the following: match play tournament results, physical attributes, fitness, mental toughness/attitude, and coachability.
Specific shots: serve, backhand, forehand, approach shots, volleys, overheads, lob recovery, overall consistency, control and placement of shots.
Players must attend try-outs to determine challenge ladder ranking positions and on which team the player is placed. Ranking positions are not held for players who miss out on match play-offs. While a NO-cut program does not mean No commitment. Please understand the expectations of attendance before joining the program.
PRACTICES
JV practices will go into CHS gym.
Varsity will practice indoors and players will pay for court time. Coach Kaila will determine a time based on court availability.
MATCHES
Play will be determined by 2:00p.m. In the case of match play vs. other schools a match will be re-scheduled.
Attendance Policy & Communication
ATTENDANCE POLICY
IF a player does not attend JV/Varsity try-outs they will not be considered for JV/ or Varsity tennis teams.
COMMUNICATION
ATHLETES are expected to communicate directly with the coaches regarding being late, missing try-outs and matches. Also, they need to communicate with their coach if they have an injury or any other personal issue. Unexcused absences will result in the loss of match play.
Coaches use e-mail to communicate to parents and players and the parent communication coordinator!
JV & Varsity uniforms will be purchase to own to ensure proper comfort and fit.

Coach Kaila lives in Cedarburg and has playing and professional experience in Wisconsin tennis, and coaching NAIA collegiate tennis. She has been Cedarburg's Varsity Head Coach for 10 years and is USTA Safe Play Certified, and USPTR Professional. As a certified instructor for all levels of tennis, Coach Kaila has been teaching for 23 years at Mequon Elite and North Shore Country Club. We teach Positive Coaching, LLC, a scientifically and philosophically sound method designed to help athletes improve their competition and performance, achieve more, and reach personal excellence. This approach empowers athletes to feel prouder, happier, healthier, and more fulfilled through their commitment to sport, motivating them to return and do even more! Advice to young athletes: "Achieving greatness takes patience, time, and trust in the process. Do the little things; over time, these small efforts add up to big results."
Tennis is a life skill that teaches hard-work, dedication, sacrifice, nutrition, sportsmanship, and goal setting. Coach Kaila is looking forward to sharing her families life passion with all ability levels and looks forward to growing your athletes game to make them their BEST on and off the court!
