About Our Girls Golf Program

Tryout Information
August 12th - 2pm Mee-kwon Golf Course
- Team selection will be based on:
- Scores, skills and talent
- Attitude, work ethic and being coachable
- Potential
- We will attempt to place individuals in the best places to succeed, improve their skills and have fun!
- Goal: All players from each level will get into at least 2 meets
Practice Information
Most practices will run until approx. 5:15pm. Some days may be shorter. Range days will last approx. 1 1/2 hours long. All practices are subject to change and we will do our best to communicate to all players and parents of any changes.

- Create a focused, responsible, trustworthy, hardworking individual who knows how to persevere through adversity
- Maintain high academic standards by using great time-management skills
- Implement a team-first approach
- Increase skill level in the game of golf to create opportunities for those looking to continue the game of golf at the next leveL
- Student-athletes are responsible for getting all assignments prior to being absent from school and completing assignments by the scheduled due date.
- Student athletes must notify the appropriate coach if missing a practice or meet. This is okay for school related activities, illness or family obligations.
- Student athletes should not miss because of other club sports that they are involved in.
- Collared shirt tucked into golf pants, shorts or skorts
- No denim pants/shorts (cargo) will be allowed
- All hats or visors must be worn with the visor facing forwards at all times
Coaches:
- Changes to schedule for the following week will be sent out prior to week
- Role of each player will be communication so there are no surprises
- Will use email or Groupme to communicate changes, etc...
Players:
- Communicate with coaches days they will be missing
- Please try to communicate a week in advance to allow coaches to set up the following week's schedule
- Initiate any concerns/questions that arise during the season
Parents:
- Allow players to initiate conversations with the coach for various reasons.
- If issues are not resolved, contact the appropriate coach to discuss
- If issues are still not resolved, the coach and parent will seek out the CHS Athletic Director to resolve the issue

Coach Goodwick is in his fourth year as the girls' varsity golf coach. He also serves as the boys' golf coach and was previously the assistant golf coach at Concordia University Wisconsin. He is a member of the PGA. Coaching is about teaching and providing the tools necessary for players to achieve their goals and play their best. Here at CHS, we strive to enable players to develop through competitive drills, on-course play, teaching, and course management experiences, enabling them to perform at their highest level.
